Any changes to our Supported Web Browsers will be communicated at least 20 business days before they take effect.

We support the latest version of Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge and Apple Safari. These browsers should automatically update whenever a new version of the browser is available and will ensure the user is always using the latest version.

We support the latest versions of these browsers on the platforms that are supported by the vendor, such as:

Users on unsupported browsers should be encouraged to switch to a supported browser and update to the latest version available.

Support removal for Internet Explorer and Legacy Edge

We removed support for the following browsers and devices on August 17th, 2021:

  • Internet Explorer 11
  • Legacy Microsoft Edge (version 45 and below)
  • All versions of Windows Phone

Users are encouraged to switch to the latest version of Microsoft Edge or other mainstream browsers.

Windows Phone users are encouraged to swap to a modern iOS or Android device.

From August 17th, 2021, Internet Explorer 11 (Desktop and Windows Phone) users, and Legacy Edge (version 45 or older) will have a degraded experience using websites. Some features may continue to work, and some may not work at all. No fixes will be made.

Handling browsers without Javascript

We progressively enhance Javascript to ensure that browsers with Javascript turned off (or unavailable) can still use as many features as possible. It is understood that some features are impossible to implement without JavaScript.

A warning should be visible for any browser with Javascript turned off.

Handling unsupported browsers

Much like progressive enhancement for Javascript, we can often provide a usable experience on older browsers for the majority of features. Users on older browsers will be encouraged to switch to a supported browser.

Support for Transport Layer Security (TLS) 1.2

All browsers and devices connecting to our services must support Transport Layer Security version 1.2 or above. This is to ensure high security across our services.

This means some users using older versions of supported browsers may not be able to use our web services and should be encouraged to update their browser. This includes Internet Explorer versions 10 or lower, which will not be able to access our web apps or services.

Users who are no longer able to access web services should be encouraged to swap to a supported browser from the list above.
